This first month in Ecuador looked really different then how I thought it would be and how I would have planned this trip to look like if it was up to me. But as each day goes by it has been exactly what I needed to continually grow in my faith and has reminded me that I serve a wise God who always knows what is best and has an amazing plan for each of us. Throughout each step of our lives He is teaching us more about Him and more about who He has made us to be and He loves to bless us along the way. Many of the things that I wouldn’t have planned from the beginning has been amazing teaching points for me to learn more about different parts of who God is and who He has called me to be. Some of these lessons I have to admit I had to learn the hard way but we have such a patient God who is so willing to pick us up whenever we fall.

On this trip I had hoped that we would be able to interact with some of the locals and share the gospel but to prevent catching COVID we are not allowed to. But since we can’t we have been able to go out and talk with locals we have so much more time to pour into each other and our ministry hosts. God has blessed us so much that while we are cleaning and working at ministries we have a lot of 1 on 1 times to talk and learn more about each other and hear about what God has been teaching them on this trip. We have also been able to pour into the place we are staying at which has been amazing because not only can we bless our hosts but also future teams that will be able to stay here as they come for ministries.

Talk to you guys soon!

  1. So good to hear how God is working in your life and showing you how He is in control. He knows what you Need before you do! He is blessing you while you are blessing others.

  2. Thanks for the update! Hope you are feeling better! Miss you, but I’m glad you’re learning a lot there!
