Sorry that I haven’t posted an update in a while. My life has been crazy with summer plans and figuring out what I will be doing this fall while I am preparing for my upcoming trip this spring.

This trip in the spring has been on my mind a lot recently. Right now we are approaching the day that I would have been launching on and it has got me thinking about a lot of things. First of all, it makes me sad that I won’t be launching with the squad that I was a part of.  We had gotten to know each other pretty well through FaceTime and Snapchat but now we are all on separate squads going in different directions. But it also makes me so thankful for being able to get to know each of them even though we won’t be launching together.

I am also looking to the future and the new trip, and to tell the truth, I am a bit worried. My fundraising has hit a stone wall and I am still a bit new to this and I don’t know what to do, there is only one other person on my squad right now, we don’t know what is going to happen with COVID, and so on. Because of all this, I have been struggling. I really don’t want to get my hopes up then have this trip canceled and I also really don’t want to change to another trip again.

BUT no matter the worries I have about this trip, I know God is in control and I trust Him completely with my life!! None of this caught Him by surprise and He knows exactly what is going to happen in the spring. I may be a bit unsure of what my life will look like, but God is my Rock and I will trust Him no matter what happens.

Talk to you guys soon!

  1. Great post! I love how informative and direct it is! Keep up the good work! God is doing great things in your life even if you don’t know what they are yet!

  2. Abby, I have experienced that “getting the hopes up” many times, as well as plans changing last second with zero warning. I don’t think I will ever truly be ok with them. Instead, I am learning to appreciate doing the “next right thing” as Anna from “Frozen 2” sang.
God only gives us that much. We can trust that He has shown us only what we need to know.
