These first few week have been a bit different then I had expected but they have also been really amazing and eye opening. We are unable to go and do certain ministries to prevent spreading COVID, so a lot of what we have been doing have been working behide the scenes at a couple different ministries that IncaLink works with. We are helping out Camp Hope by preparing then to reopen so that the kids can come back, Venezuelans en Ecuador and helping them prepare a building to be made into a clinic for Venezuelan refugees, and helping out our host by cleaning out an old house so that they can tear it down and build a new one for another missionary family and helping in the garden to help feed our host and future teams.
God has really been showing me throughout these weeks how even simple thing can be a blessing to those around you. Since being here we have been able to help our host and a couple ministries prepare for the future. It has been really amazing to just help out and to get to know the people behind these ministries and hearing more about why they are doing it. God has placed some wonderful people behind the different ministries He has set up here in Ecuador!
Another way that the simplest things can help is by just being here. On our days off we have been able to explore a little bit of Quito and in doing so we were able to provide some business to a couple people who had lost a lot of their business because of the loss of tourism and afterwards some of them told our host how thankful they were that they were finally bringing teams back to Ecuador. Everything we did was just simple things like renting a bus, buying souvenirs, ordering food, and just living life. It is so amazing to see how God used even the simplest of things that we have done to provide for some people here and bless them. Our God is an awesome God!!!
