I can’t believe it, I signed up for a semester trip with World Race over 9 months ago and a week from today I will be flying down to Georgia for training camp and then will be leaving on the 25th or 26th to fly down to Ecuador for three months!!
Before I leave I decided to look back at these 9 months and honor God for the many things he has taught or shown me leading up to actually leaving. First of all, one of the biggest things I have been continually learning throughout my life, especially these past 9 months, is to trust God with all I have. I switched routes 3 different times and as awesome as each previous route was, the more I hear and learn about my route, it draws me in. Just thinking about the different ministries that we will be working with inspires me to do everything to glorify God.
Another awesome thing that God has done with this trip is putting together an awesome team to serve Him in Ecuador. Through technology I have been able to get to know many of the girls I will be serving with and I’ve got to say I am excited to be able to learn more about God and serve the communities we will be in alongside these girls. Another awesome thing has been that while we have never met each other in person we have been able to support each other in prayer while we prepare to leave.
God has also provided in the little things. He has provided some amazing deals on many different items I needed to buy before leaving. He provided the last appointment available to get a Yellow Fever shot before leaving. So many of the little things that needed to be done before leaving, God provided!
He is so good!!!!
Talk to you guys soon!
