Like I mentioned in my last blog post, the leaders of World Race were meeting to decide what they were going to do about this fall and that they would let us know by July 1st what their decision was. So I spent a lot of time on July 1st waiting to hear from them about what their decision was.
After meeting and praying about what to do the leaders decided not to launch any teams internationally this fall because of a variety of different reasons. They did not feel like they could safely launch teams not knowing if the borders would open up, if teams could end up trapped in some of the countries, and other unknown factors. Because of this, they decided not to launch teams internationally right now. So I will not be launching as I had originally planned this fall.
Because of this, I spent this week in a lot of prayer and seeking God on where He wants me this next year and I feel like He is calling me to switch semesters trips and go on a different semesters trip this Spring through World Race. It will be a lot like before but I will be going to South Asia and Nepal instead of Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua and it will be from January 22 to April 22 instead of August to November. I will need to raise an additional $1,600 for this trip but I know that if God called me He will provide a way.
I am really excited about this chance to be able to go to Nepal because my grandparents were missionaries there for over 37 years. Another exciting part about this route is that I would be in an area where they lived for a couple of years and where my father was raised for part of the time.
Talk to you guys soon!
Looking good! I’m excited that you get to go on a race still! It will be cool to see the things that God does with you there!
